KINSTON, N.C. (WITN) - Kinston police are investigating a report of suspicious activity early this morning involving children.

This morning, around 5:30, police say officers were called to a home on St. George Place for a report of suspicious activity.

When officers got there, the homeowner told police that his Ring camera captured three individuals seen walking across the property with flashlights between 3 and 3:30 a.m.

One of the individuals could be seen holding up what appears to be a gun as they walked out of the camera’s frame.

Officers checked the surrounding area but were unable to find the individuals seen in the video.

Kinston police are asking residents to stay vigilant and be aware of their surroundings.
