A driver avoided injury after crashing into a ditch and striking several trees in Grey Highlands.

Grey Bruce OPP say they responded to the single motor vehicle collision east of Markdale on Blue Jay Crescent in Grey Highlands around 4:30 p.m. Wednesday afternoon.

The OPP say officers arrived on scene to find a vehicle had left the roadway, entered a ditch and struck several trees.

“The lone driver, an individual from Grey Highlands, reported swerving to avoid a dog,” Grey Bruce OPP say in a release.

No injuries were reported.

Police say the 40-year-old driver from Grey Highlands was hit with a Highway Traffic Act offence notice for careless driving.
