SIOUX CITY, Iowa (KCAU) — A local healthcare system is changing their health insurance acceptance policy by dropping some plans.

Beginning on January 1, 2026, there's a chance your health insurance may no longer be accepted by UnityPoint Health.

The following insurance plans are expected to be dropped on January 1. • Ambetter Health, a Centene Iowa Total Care Product • Centivo • Mount Carmel MediGold - Medicare Advantage • Oscar • Partners Direct Health • Wellcare Medicare Advantage • Wellpoint - Medicare Advantage
