David Tufaro’s comments in his Oct. 29 letter about Zohran Mamdani (“ Where is Bloomberg on Mamdani? “) contain either distortions of the truth or classic illogic or both. For instance, does complaining about the Jewish settlers’ violence against the indigenous Arab population logically mean that someone is anti-Israel or antisemitic? Or is Mamdani understandably in opposition to violence caused by chauvinism or xenophobia, where somehow the settlers believe they have the right to displace the Arab population who have been living in the West Bank since the 7th century?
