In the latest legal headache for the American Dream megamall, a Long Island family alleges that their child was injured by hitting their head on a concrete floor in a ball pit at the shopping and entertainment complex.

According to the four-count suit filed in Bergen County court on Tuesday, Oct. 28, the parents of Eilana Lang of West Hempstead, New York allege that the concrete floor of a ball pit at a mall attraction called Bubble Planet , which opened in 2024, had no protective mat or padding, prompting her injury.

Tuesday’s suit lists Bubble Planet operators Exhibition Hub and Fever Labs as defendants, as well as Triple Five, the Canadian developer that owns American Dream.
