MASSAPEQUA, Long Island (WABC) -- A woman is under arrest and charged with attempted murder after a man says a home health aide stabbed his mother and then got into a car and tried to ram it into her home.

On Thursday morning, police announced the arrest of 23-year-old Amanda Fraser.

Kery Kilgannon told Eyewitness News on Wednesday that home security footage captured the moment his 85-year-old mother, Wendy Wilson, was stabbed by her overnight caregiver while she was asleep.

He says video shows the caregiver climbing into bed with Wilson before leaving the house.

Kilgannon says what happened next is a little unclear, but he says outside security footage appears to show the aide trying to hit the house with her car before fleeing.
