Louisiana Gov. Jeff Landry took to social media on Wednesday to respond to former head coach Urban Meyer's criticism of his reported role in LSU firing football coach Brian Kelly.

"Let me be clear, coach Urban Meyer, the Governor's only involvement is when the taxpayers of our State are concerned," Landry said. "Maybe you don't care about the public's money, but I do!"

Meyer took to the "The Triple Option" podcast that he co-hosts alongside Heisman Trophy winner Mark Ingram and commentator Rob Stone, to call out Landry's reported involvement in LSU firing Brian Kelly.
