As uncertainty continues over the timing of November SNAP payments, New Jersey officials are urging residents who rely on the federal food assistance program to check their balances and explore local support options.
The New Jersey Department of Human Services’ Division of Family Development said that any benefits loaded onto SNAP EBT cards before Oct. 31 will remain available for use after Nov. 1. Officials encouraged residents to verify their account status at NJFamiliesFirst.com or by calling 800-997-3333 before visiting grocery stores next month.
“If there are SNAP benefits in your NJ Families First account, they are available for you to use,” the department said in a statement.
