New polling of New Jersey residents likely to cast a vote for governor on Tuesday, Nov. 4 suggests that U.S. Rep. Mikie Sherrill, D-New Jersey, holds a slim 49-48% advantage over Republican Jack Ciattarelli.

The survey by Emerson College Polling also indicates that 2% of those who were contacted are still undecided. But sentiments among that that group hold possible good news for the Democratic candidate.

“Neutral voters” questioned leaned overwhelmingly toward Sherill, which may translate into a 50-48% advantage for the Democrat.

Spencer Kimball, executive director of Emerson College Polling, said the results also show a definite difference between preferences of men and women.
