The Saskatchewan Health Authority (SHA) is changing how it notifies the public about temporary emergency service disruptions.
Starting in early November, the SHA will post all emergency service disruptions on its website, regardless of how long they are expected to last. This is a shift from the current process, which only posts disruptions of seven days or more.
The health authority will update the public list of disruptions daily at 4 p.m., seven days a week.
"The SHA is committed to providing patients, families and communities with reliable and accurate information," said Derek Miller, chief operating officer of the SHA, in a media release. "We acknowledge frustrations from patients and communities about our current reporting process.”
