DES MOINES, Iowa —

There's a slim chance — but still a chance — that Iowans will see our first snowflakes of the season this weekend.

Light drizzle is expected to start around 6 p.m. Friday, the same time kids in many towns will be out trick-or-treating .

With temperatures dropping into the 30s overnight Friday into Saturday, that light drizzle could produce some snowflakes while most people are sleeping.

This will not be a measureable event, and any flakes that do fall will melt once they make contact with the warm ground.
