NEW YORK (PIX11) — A popular car company has agreed to a class action lawsuit settlement for claims of a defective piece of equipment.

The lawsuit claimed that certain Land Rover and Range Rover vehicles, manufactured by Jaguar Land Rover, had been equipped with defective turbochargers that could cause engine damage.

According to the complaint, Jaguar Land Rover knew about the defective turbochargers but failed to tell vehicle owners or pay for repairs. The car company has not admitted to any wrongdoing but agreed to pay an undisclosed amount to resolve the suit.
