VALDOSTA, Ga. (WALB) – The historic Lowndes County Courthouse and other county-owned facilities will glow green from November 4 through November 11 as part of Operation Green Light, a nationwide initiative honoring and supporting America’s veterans.

Organized by the National Association of Counties (NACo), Operation Green Light unites communities across the country to recognize veterans’ service and raise awareness about the unique challenges many face after returning home. The effort also highlights the local, state, and federal resources available to help veterans and their families.
