A serial burglar who was 'chancing his arm' for open doors stole from three Hartlepool homes - two belonging to a mum and daughter. Paul Power walked into the home of a mother and that of her daughter, within minutes of each other, on September 15.
The elderly mother lost her footing on the stairs and fell injuring her wrist and back, as she confronted Power who was standing in her doorway on Dundee Road, Rossmere. The pensioner had been expecting her daughter, when she heard the front door opening.
The victim received two video recordings from her Ring doorbell - the first showed Power "peering through the window of her front door", Teesside Crown Court heard on Thursday, October 30.
Joel Wootten, prosecuting, said Power "had items shoved up his jumper" on the footage as he left. H
