A standout on both sides of the ball and a fan favourite in the Nickel City, Canadian guard Duane Notice will return to the Sudbury Five for a defence of their Basketball Super League championship in 2025-26, the team announced in a press release this week.
A 31-year-old Torontonian and a mainstay on the Sudbury roster since 2022, Notice followed Charlie Marquardt in announcing his re-signing with the Five, with more returnees to be announced in the coming days.
Notice, Marquardt and company will open the BSL regular season with a home game against the Lake Erie Jackals on Dec. 29.
“We are thrilled to welcome Duane back to the Five as we look to Defend The Throne,” the team said, making reference to its slogan for the coming campaign.
