It’s a glaring display of disrespect.
The Windsor Lancers are into the OUA football semifinals for the second time in three years.
On Saturday, the Lancers will host a semifinal game for the first time in 35 years, but that hasn’t brought the program much respect.
The Lancers will host the Queen’s Gaels at 1 p.m. at Aluni Field. The same Queen’s team that fell 31-28 to Windsor earlier this month in Kingston and yet remains ranked three spots higher in U Sports top 10.
“We know Queen’s thinks they’re better than us,” Lancers’ linebacker Dylan Simpson said. “They’re way ahead of us in the rankings, but we love it. At the end of the day, it’s just a post they’re putting out there.”
In fact, Windsor remained behind Queen’s in the rankings after this month’s regular-season win in Kingston
