MUNCIE, Ind. -- The Delaware County Prosecutor's Office confirmed that it is working to have a teen charged as an adult for his alleged role in a deadly shooting last month.
According to previous reports, Muncie police responded to a report of a possible shooting on Sept. 18 in the 400 block of E. Gilbert Street. MPD said at the time that officers arrived on the scene and located a 14-year-old female suffering from a gunshot wound. She later died at IU Health Ball Memorial Hospital.
The investigation into the deadly shooting led to the arrest of a 15-year-old male. At the time, he was preliminarily charged with reckless homicide, dangerous possession of a firearm, pointing a firearm and theft of a firearm.
