A man has been charged following an investigation into a shooting in Middlesbrough . The 33-year-old has been charged with "unrelated alleged offences", the force has confirmed as it gives an update on the attempted murder probe.

An investigation was launched following a report that a firearm had been discharged at flats in Scholars Rise on Sunday, October 26. The man was charged with possession of an offensive weapon, possession with intent to supply class A drugs and possession of criminal property.

He was remanded and was due to appear at Teesside Magistrates Court on Thursday, October 30. A 27-year-old man who was arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to commit murder has been recalled to prison.
