SOMERSET COUNTY, Pa. (WTAJ) — The Somerset County Sheriff, Dusty Weir, has been charged with corrupting a minor and an attorney on his behalf has called the claims baseless.

WTAJ is working to request the paperwork related to the charge, but it stems from an alleged incident in Dec. 2024. Weir, 46, from Stoystown, is currently only facing one charge of corrupting a minor.

Matthew Zatko, Weir's lawyer, shared a statement on his behalf about the allegations. In the statement, they argue that the accusation comes from a disgruntled ex-employee of the sheriff's office who had been fired by Weir weeks before the alleged allegations took place.
