He’ll get another crack at taking it home next month.
The Hamilton Tiger-Cats’ quarterback was named as the East Division finalist for the top award in the game on Thursday. He’ll be up against B.C. Lions quarterback Nathan Rourke, who’s the West nominee for the first time in his career.
Mitchell is one of four Ticats who will be in the running for hardware on Nov. 13 during Grey Cup week in Winnipeg. It’s the highest number for the team since 2019 when five Ticats were in the mix.
