DECATUR, Ill. (WAND) — A Decatur man was arrested Tuesday after police said he shot a man in the leg in August.

32-year-old Carnyshal D. Barbee was arrested by the Decatur Police Department and booking into the Macon County Jail on multiple felony charges.

According to a sworn statement, officers responded to a home in the 200 block of West Grand Avenue for a reported shooting victim on August 2. Officers found Tyrone M. King on the front porch with a gunshot wound in his thigh.

King told police the shooting happened in the parking lot of the Tobacco Shack on 343 W. Grand Avenue before being taken to the hospital.

After later talking to King and reviewing camera footage, police said King walked into the store and up to the counter before being approached by Barbee.
