WASHINGTON — Australian pop star Dean Lewis, who recently released a new song with the Jonas Brothers, has issued an apology after a series of allegations leveled against him on social media accusing the singer of inappropriately interacting with fans.
A series of TikTok videos and other social media posts began spreading in late October in which female fans said they received flirtatious or sexual messages from Lewis, or were made uncomfortable during one-on-one interactions with him, according to Rolling Stone .
All of the women involved in the videos are believed to be adults, and nothing criminal was alleged. Instead, the videos claim the pop star used his fame and fortune to pressure fans into sexual situations.
