Pay for CEOs of three of the four biggest Crown Corporations in Saskatchewan has grown above $500,000, according to the new Crown payee disclosure report for 2024-25.
According to the report, Charlene Gavel, CEO of SaskTel, brought in $552,455 in remuneration for the last fiscal year. The report for the previous year showed $494,310, representing a nearly 12 per cent increase. However, Gavel has only held the position since August 2023.
The previous SaskTel CEO, Doug Burnett, brought in $598,776 and $555,093 for his last two years in the position.
SaskPower CEO Rupen Pandya came in second among the Crown CEOs, with $553,936 in remuneration for the year. The 2024-25 pay represents a more than 10 per cent increase over 2023-24.
