LANSING TOWNSHIP, Minn. – A pickup truck and a car crashed Thursday morning in Mower County.

The Minnesota State Patrol says it happened around 9:10 am. A 2012 Dodge Ram driven by Nicholas Carl Stacey, 41 of Hutchinson, was northbound on Highway 218 and a 2008 Pontiac Vibe driven by a 71-year-old man from Austin was crossing 218 on 27 th Avenue NW when they collided.

The name and condition of the Vibe driver has not been released. Nicholas Stacey was not hurt. His passenger, Thomas Samuel Stacey, 66 of Northwood, Iowa, suffered non-life threatening injuries and was taken to Mayo Clinic Health System in Austin for treatment.

The Mower County Sheriff’s Office, Austin Fire Department, and Mayo Clinic Ambulance Service assisted with this accident.
