It is a result of monumental proportions, with Australia, chasing their eighth title, being the most succesfull team in the history of the tournament by some distance and by far the best team in the world in women’s cricket. Moreover, India had to break the record for the highest succesfull run chase of all time in women’s ODIs, which was, just as incredibly, set by Australia against India themselves just days earlier in the group stage of the tournament.
