An animal control officer in Morris County has been working around the clock to place more than 30 cats that were found together in a "hoarding situation" in Mount Arlington.
The initial call came in on the night of Oct. 24, according to Animal Control Officer Veronica Valandingham, who said, "We had gotten a call by a citizen who, I guess the mother lived in the home, and she lost the home. When the son went in all those cats were in there, so he called me, and that's how we got involved."
Since then, Valandingham has been working tirelessly to safely place each of the approximately 32 cats into a foster, rescue, home, pound or shelter.
