Battlefield 6 may be winning the battle for FPS franchise supremacy following a record-breaking launch earlier this month, but Activision's old faithful Call Of Duty may be about to land a decisive blow in the war. Following last month's news that a Call Of Duty live-action movie is in the works at Paramount, today Deadline is reporting that the studio has landed two major names to bring the iconic shooter to the big screen: Yellowstone creator Taylor Sheridan and multi-hyphenate filmmaker Peter Berg ( Lone Survivor ).

Having previously collaborated on four-time Oscar nominee Hell Or High Water and chilly heartland epic Wind River , Sheridan and Berg are set to co-write Call Of Duty together, with Berg — who most recently turned his directorial hand to Amer
