A newly wrapped 50-ton Peterbilt wrecker is turning heads across Coweta and beyond, but its purpose goes far deeper than appearance.
Parkers Towing and Recovery has unveiled a tribute truck in honor of Toby Bowden, a former operator who was struck and killed along Interstate 85 in March 2023 while on the job.
The truck, a Peterbilt 589 rotator with a 50-ton recovery capacity, is wrapped with custom artwork designed to honor Bowden’s life and raise awareness about roadside safety.
It features the “Wall of the Fallen” memorial located at the International Towing Museum in Chattanooga, which recognizes tow operators nationwide who were killed in the line of duty. Bowden’s name was recently added to the wall.
