YOUNGSTOWN A Boardman man has been indicted in connection with a deadly hit skip crash involving a pedestrian in Youngstown.
According to a Mahoning County grand jury report, 42-year-old Laird Bruner was indicted on charges of aggravated vehicular homicide and failure to stop after an accident.
The charges stem from a pedestrian-involved crash that occurred on Loveland Road in Youngstown near Pointview Avenue. The crash claimed the life of 53-year-old Joseph Novacich.
Security camera footage showed Novacich try to jump out of the way as an SUV sped towards him and hit him, causing him to be thrown several feet.
Witnesses at the scene said the SUV stopped two houses down, but backed out of the yard and took off down the street.
Police believe Bruner to have been the driver of the
