Austin Reaves earns high praise from head coach JJ Redick following strong start

Los Angeles Lakers guard Austin Reaves is experiencing a full breakout to start the 2025-26 season, and head coach JJ Redick is putting all his faith in the former undrafted guard.

Through the Lakers’ first four games, Reaves is averaging 34.2 points, 5.6 rebounds and 10.0 assists per game. Reaves had 51 points, 11 rebounds, and nine assists against the Sacramento Kings , then followed that up with a 41-point performance against the Portland Trailblazers, then followed that up with a 28-point, 16-assist performance against the Minnesota Timberwolves that included a game-winning floater as time expired.
