A Florida woman has filed a lawsuit against SeaWorld Orlando after she was allegedly hit in the face by a duck while riding one of the park’s roller coasters earlier this year.
Per ABC News , Hillary Martin, claims she was knocked unconscious and permanently injured during the March 24 incident. The lawsuit, filed Monday, notes that the incident occurred after a duck “flew into the path” while she was riding the park’s Mako roller coaster, causing her “loss of consciousness and personal injury.”
Martin’s legal team from Morgan & Morgan argues that SeaWorld failed to provide a safe environment or warn Martin of potential risks. They specifically claim the park created a “zone of danger for bird strikes” because the Mako — touted as Orlando’s tallest and fastest coaster, reaching 73 mp
