The National Education Policy (NEP) and the PM-SHRI scheme are there to “brainwash children” and are “all leaning one way” ideologically, Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi Vadra said in Wayanad on Thursday, prompting Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan to shoot back that her remarks were a display of “ignorance and political opportunism.”

“Now that reforms are actually being implemented, it is convenient for some to feign outrage rather than acknowledge success. If empowering children with innovation, critical thinking, and pride in Bharat’s heritage is “ideological,” then yes, the ideology is nation-building,” Pradhan wrote in a post on X.
