BATON ROUGE, La. (Louisiana First) — Former LSU coach Ed Orgeron weighed in on possibly returning to lead the Tigers.
During a radio interview with UNSPORTSMANLIKE Radio on ESPN, Orgeron told co-host Evan Cohen that he wouldn't mind returning to LSU.
"I'd love to, you kidding me?" Orgeron said. "I'm one phone call away. I just have to get in my truck and I could be there today."
This comes after former head coach Brian Kelly was fired after the loss to rival Texas A&M. The Tigers are 5-3 overall but 2-3 in the SEC, ranking them 11th in the conference.
Cohen then asked if the former head coach would consider being an assistant coach at LSU under the potential leadership of current Ole Miss coach Lane Kiffin.
