METROPOLIS, Ill. (KFVS) - In Massac County, Rural Health, INC. is expanding its reach in southern Illinois by breaking ground on a new clinic in Metropolis.
The ceremony took place on Thursday, October 30 at the future site of the new facility on East 5th Street, just next door to the McDonald’s.
The clinic is part of Rural Health’s growing network and will offer medical, behavioral health, dental services and even a pharmacy.
CEO Cindy Flamm said it’s all about improving access to health care in the deep south of southern Illinois and easing the burden of traveling long distances for care.
