More than 50,000 runners will race through all five boroughs when the TCS NYC Marathon kicks off Sunday.

The 54th annual event starts on Staten Island and ends in Central Park.

Hundreds of people are also working behind the scenes to pull off a seamless race.

Rob Simmelkjaer, CEO of the New York Road Runners, joined "The Rush Hour" on Thursday to talk about the big race.
