Cleveland Cavs center Jarrett Allen suffered an injury to his left ring finger in the team’s 125-105 loss to the Boston Celtics Oct. 29 in Boston.
A post-game evaluation followed by an X-ray at Cleveland Clinic Sports Medicine revealed a non-displaced fracture of the distal phalanx, a break at the tip of the finger.
Allen will undergo a series of treatment and evaluation and will be questionable for the Oct. 31 game against the Toronto Raptors .
He joins Cavs guard Sam Merrill , who didn't play against the Celtics, on the injured list.
In addition, guards Darius Garland and Max Strus remain out with injuries. Head coach Kenny Atkinson will need to dig deeper into his bench as an already banged up Cleveland team loses another key piece.
