Aileen: Queen of the Serial Killers is now streaming on Netflix , and viewers might be curious to know more about the subject matter.

The true crime series centers around Aileen Wuornos , who murdered several men in Florida over 35 years ago.

Aileen was finally caught in January 1991 after a multi-state investigation, convicted of one the multiple murders and sentenced to death in 1992.

She later pled no contest to the other murders. She was on death row for six years before her execution by lethal injection in 2002.
