The best part of Secretary of War Pete Hegseth’s speech to the assembled generals and admirals on Sept. 30 was his call for those with sinking hearts to “do the honorable thing and resign.”
Darn right! While enlisted personnel can face court-martial and jail for trying to void out a four- or six-year commitment, there should be enough content from Hegseth’s speech and current events to make every commissioned officer in the U.S. military resign.
