BECKLEY, WV (WVNS) -- Summers County Prosecutor, Christopher Lefler filed today for pre-candidacy for the special election of a new Raleigh County prosecutor next year.
Lefler was previously the Assistant Prosecuting Attorney in Raleigh County before moving to Summers County and being elected as the prosecutor there.
He said if he's elected to the position, he will focus on continuing temporary Prosecuting Attorney, Tom Truman's current work.
"You know, mend the relationships in the office. There's still some issues dealing with, you know, fallout of the prior administration. Then mend relationships with the County Commission as well as all governmental officials at the county and state level," said Lefler.
