Man dies after being crushed by vehicle in Steubenville

JEFFERSON COUNTY, OH (WTRF) - Authorities are investigating a tragic apparent workplace accident in Steubenville that happened late this morning.

First responders were called to the rear parking lot of Donnie's Towing and Tires along the 200 block of North 3rd Street, where a man was found crushed beneath a vehicle.

Officials say it appears the car slipped off a lift, trapping him underneath.

His injuries were extreme, and he was pronounced dead at the scene.

The Jefferson County Coroner was called, and the Steubenville Police department is handling the investigation.
