A fundraiser set up by the brother-in-law of a "fantastic mother" who died alongside her dog in a crash in Port Glasgow has raised more than £19k in seven hours. ‌

Amy Gray, 42, was crossing the east bound carriageway of the A8 on Greenock Road with her dog Reggie on Wednesday October 29 when they were struck by a Land Rover Sport at around 7.05am. ‌

Both sadly died at the scene, despite emergency crews attending the area. The driver was not injured in the collision . ‌

Amy's family have been made aware of her death by Police Scotland. A report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.

A GoFundMe page has now been started by her sister Emma's husband, Daniel Hagen, following her tragic passing and raised £19,291 at the time of writing.
