What’s in John Tavares’s backpack?

Fans, media and even his Maple Leafs teammates have asked that question since he joined the NHL as the first overall pick in 2009.

It’s always been with him on this journey to 500 career goals, making him look like a big kid going to school as he carries it in and out of the rink wearing his game-day suit.
