SAN ANTONIO — Firefighters raced to a west-side home Thursday after flames ripped through the house, officials say.
Crews were called out just after noon to the 8900 block of Levelland, near Potranco Road and Highway 151.
This family is left devastated after a fire tore through their home.
They weren’t home when the fire started — but sadly, they lost one of their dogs. About three other pets are still missing.
According to fire officials, the flames started outside in the backyard of a home on the 8900 block of Levelland Street and quickly spread into the house.
Those fast-moving flames then forced their way into the attic. Firefighters battled the blaze for about 20 minutes before getting it under control.
