The details: Weber said in a statement that her office has received “numerous reports” from voters that they have gotten “inaccurate” text messages from a site called Ballot Now.
“We urge Californians to only trust information shared by my office or their county registrar of voters' office,” Weber said.
LAist sent an email to Ballot Now but has not heard back.
More on Ballot Now: Ballot Now appears to be a website devoted to promoting vote-by-mail.
“Let me be clear: Ballot Now is not in any way affiliated with the California Office of the Secretary of State,” Weber said.
