CINCINNATI —
With Election Day just five days away, Hamilton County officials are testing voting machines, in usual fashion, to make sure they accurately count ballots when polling places close on Tuesday.
In addition to ensuring smooth early, in-person voting, bipartisan election workers are counting test ballots both electronically and by hand to guarantee every vote is properly counted. Marking and scanning test ballots and double-checking them for accuracy before Election Day is a priority for the people who run elections in Hamilton County. Advertisement
"This is an odd year election. There's a lot of contests and a lot of candidates on the ballot throughout the county," said Sherry Poland, director of the Hamilton County Board of Elections.
