LITTLE ROCK, Ark. — Little Rock Mayor Frank Scott Jr. will be joined by Arkansas Hunger Relief Alliance leaders, Little Rock School District leaders, and community partners to announce support for residents impacted by the federal SNAP benefits freeze.

Mayor Scott is set to address the support plan during a news conference that's scheduled for 11 a.m. on Friday in the rotunda at the city hall on W. Markham Street.

The news conference on Friday is open to the media and public, with the mayor encouraging both to attend.

The upcoming news conference by Mayor Scott comes as other local politicians have pushed for a solution to the SNAP funding issues caused by the government shutdown.
