EAST PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WPRI) — A grandparents' rights trial continues to unfold in Kent County Family Court.
As the Boston Globe Rhode Island previously reported, Middletown police detective Scott Naso, whose wife died of cancer last year, is fighting to keep her parents away from his four-year-old daughter.
Globe RI Amanda Milkovits' latest report said the grandfather, Dr. Siavash Ghoreishi, admitted to giving medical care to his daughter — Naso's wife — and granddaughter, including writing prescriptions for both. (The American Medical Association's code of ethics states doctors should not provide care for their immediate family members.)
Milkovits joined 12 News at 4 Thursday to discuss the latest developments in the trial and when the next court date is.
