Public Health Sudbury and Districts is once again advising the people of Falconbridge about the precautions they should take after another possible release of dust from Glencore’s smelter in the community.
In a release, the health unit said its staff was told about the “dust event” at around 11 a.m. Thursday. Along with Glencore and the Ministry of the Environment, Conservation and Parks, it said it began to investigate what happened.

“The investigation is ongoing at this time,” Public Health said in a release. “In particular, the composition of the dust and where it originated, including whether it originated from Glencore’s operations, is unknown.
