PEORIA ( 25News Now ) - U.S. Sen. Tammy Duckworth (D-IL) is supporting a Republican bill to keep SNAP funded until the federal government shutdown ends.
SB3024 , sponsored by Sen. Josh Hawley (R-MO), would provide uninterrupted benefits as well as retroactive payments that were missed on or after Sept. 30.
SB3024 currently has 14 Republican cosponsors, 13 Democratic cosponsors, and the support of two Independents.
