ATLANTA — South Carolina women's basketball starting point guard Raven Johnson fell on a layup attempt with 1:17 left in the second quarter of an exhibition game on Oct. 30 and went to the locker room with trainers.
Johnson didn't come out to warm up with South Carolina after halftime at first but walked on right before the buzzer for the third quarter and started the second half.
After the fall she was slow to get up, grabbing at her back and eventually walked off on her own but with coach Dawn Staley and trainers next to her. A foul was called on the play and Tessa Johnson subbed in to shoot the free throws.
The Gamecocks are playing UNC in a neutral site exhibition game and were up 49-38 at halftime.
